Telegram bots are very easy to make and onboard in Social25. To get started with telegram you first have to register a bot with telegram. Afterwards you can onboard it via the Social25 Configuration Wizard.

Creating a Telegram Bot

1. Open Telegram and start a new chat with @BotFather.

2. Send /newbot to BotFather

3. BotFather will now guide you through the process of creating a bot

4. At the end of the Flow the bot will return an access token

Onboarding your telegram bot in Social25

1. Open the Social25 Configuration Wizard

2. Select Channels in the sidebar

3. Click on “Add a new Channel"

4. Select telegram in the channel dropdown

5. Fill in all the fields:

   1. Platform Name: This can be any name you want

   2. Bot Username: This is the username of the bot. Bot usernames end with _bot

   3. Token: This is the access token you got from BotFather

   4. Webhook Secret: This is is a alpha-numeric string of characters. You can make this up yourself.

6. Press save

Once the bot is synced your platform is onboarded.
